After the success of much-anticipated series’ Coldd Lassi Aur Chicken Masala and M.O.M, ALT Balaji is all set to impress the audience once again with a thrilling Mafia series, Fixerr. The series will feature Kumkum Bhagya fame Shabbir Ahluwalia, Mahie Gill, Esha Koppikar and Karishma Sharma in pivotal roles. The series revolves around a tainted ATS Officer from Delhi who is drawn into the murky underbelly of Mumbai movie mafia and industrialists. Later, he ends up becoming a fixer.
We caught up with Mahie Gill and in a candid conversation with us, Mahie shared her character details, the experience of shooting with Shabbir and much more.
Revealing details about her character in the series Mahie said, “I’m playing the character of a housewife this time who is a total nautankibaaz and a typical husband-is-my-god kinda woman. She fixes her home and it’s a very sweet character. It has been a lovely experience shooting for it because the cast was amazing and we had a lot of fun on the sets.”
Mahie also shared that she has received an amazing response from the audience on the promo of Fixerr. It’s a masala potboiler and viewers are loving the thrill and action.
Mahie Gill has been part of the previous ALT Balaji series Apharan, when asked about her association with ALT Balaji and Ekta, she says, “Oh I’m so blessed to be working with ALT and Ekta. I love Ekta and I did Apharan because I wanted to see the difference between films and the web, but there was absolutely no difference. The budget is good and it’s shot exactly like the movies. I’m happy I’m working with Ekta again and would love to work with her more in the future, besides why would I say no to good projects.”
Apart from Fixerr, Mahie will also be seen in the sequel of popular series Apharan and Bollywood film Dabangg 3.
