Maan Gaye Mughall-E-Azam is the third movie of Sanjay Chhel as a Director, the movie has the lead pair Mallika Sherawat and Rahul Bose, this pair has already rocked the screen with their chemistry in "Pyar Ke Side Effects".. Music is given by Anu Malik , the album has seven songs of which two are remix versions.
The album opens with "Pyar Kiya To Darna Kiya", which looks like a remix of the original song, but it's not. The song has been sung well by Anushka Manchanda , Ishq Bector and Mahalaxmi Iyer, and has Maan Gaye Mugh-le-Azam some good DJ Beats and sounds good on the good speaker system. The soundtrack is a nice blend of the super hit song and new lyrics have also been added to it, though the lyrics are not that impressive we also get to see a different singing style.
The second soundtrack is "Marmari Bahen" lyrics by Sanjay Chhel, who is also the director of the movie. Kunal Ganjawala and Mahalaxmi Iyer sung this "Romantic and Sensuous" soundtrack. The tune of the song also didn't impress me much, it's a typical one but Kunal and Mahalaxmi has done a nice job. And the main thing, don't even trouble yourself by translating the lyrics!!! The remix version of "Marmari Bahen- Remix" , Anu Malik has the mike in his hand this time, it's a Lounge Mix remix and sounds good.
The next soundtrack is "Ek To Sharab Kam - Part I" sung by Pankaj Udhas, Yeah that's right the ghazal man, he groans, moans and also sounds like the harmonium with extra beats. The song is a quite a disappointment with a typical Ghazal tune, nothing great and also with a little bit of brass in it. The things got worse on the next version song "Ek To Sharab Kam - Part II", seriously heard the first para and didn't like it so didn't bother to listen to the next para, so you can say whatever you want for this one. No comments.
The next soundtrack is "Ishqaiyaan" sung by Sunidhi Chauhan, can be given the name of "Modern Mujra" number. Kinda Govinda soundtrack with neither good tunes and nor good lyric. The last soundtrack is "Ishqaiyaan - Remix" is better than the original track, but not very impressive.
After hearing all the good numbers coming up recently "Maan Gaye Mughall-E-Azam" is a real disappointment. It seems as if no efforts were on making any of the songs but ya you can listen to ". Marmari Baahein", at least it's better than the rest.
