Lokit Phulwani talks about his journey in Rabb Se Hai Dua

Actor Lokit Phulwani, who is part of Prateek Sharma's ( Studio LSD) Rabb Se Hai Dua, says that the audience is loving the show. He said that he prepared well for his role.

“Preparing for a role in a popular television show, especially one with overwhelming positive responses like Rabb Se Hai Dua can be challenging but exciting. Some steps I took to prepare were firstly to study the character. I had to deep dive into the character’s background, motivations, and personality traits. The second thing that I did was to watch similar shows of the same genre. I familiarised myself with the similar characters to grasp the tone, style, and character dynamics. I also analyzed audience feedback: it’s important to pay attention to what the audience loved about the show . I use this insight to enhance my performance. Then I focus on physical preparation. If the role demands physical conditioning or specific skills, dedicate time to training and practice,” he says.

He adds, “After this I focus on emotional preparation. I explored the emotional depth of my character, and worked on techniques to convey those emotions effectively. I make sure to stay grounded. Despite the positive response, one has to stay true to the craft and remain focused on delivering a compelling performance. It’s also important to handle fan expectations. Respect their enthusiasm and engage when appropriate. One must keep evolving as well. Continuously refining my own performance to keep the character fresh and engaging. Ultimately, staying dedicated to your craft and maintaining a strong work ethic will help one excel in their role on any popular television show.”

The show has been a milestone in his career. He says, “Certainly! Working on Rab Se Hai Dua has been a transformative experience for me, and it has contributed to my success in various ways. It has given me exposure and recognition. It has helped me in skill development, fan engagement, given financial rewards, created creative opportunities, formed career momentum. I am part of a legacy. The show’s impact on popular culture can ensure that the person remains relevant and celebrated even after the show has ended.”

Ask him what do viewers find most appealing about his performance in the show, and he says, “My most appealing performance has been brother sister bond, where I play an overprotective brother, Hafeez, who would do anything for his sister Dua.”

Fan reactions have been overwhelming, says the actor, adding, “During my regular daily shoots , I had a break for a couple of days . To my pleasant surprise some of my fans started to message me on Insta - asking me to come back to the show immediately, they wrote - please come back soon , your sister is in trouble in the house and you have to come and save her.”
