Lock Upp: Ali Merchant reveals getting a divorce from second wife after 5 years of marriage

Many secrets have been revealed in the show. On judgement day, contestants got a chance to reveal their secret and get saved from elimination. And this week, Ali Merchant got the cue for his secret, which is ‘Divorce’. Ali pressed the buzzer first and signed the contract to reveal his secret about his divorce from second wife Anam Merchant.

Ali revealed that he got an arranged married in 2016 and he was not getting any acting projects so he began DJ-ing in 2015. Ali's wife Aman didn't want him to be in the nightlife. She wanted him to be an actor or a businessman. Ali started getting great offers to perform in concerts – in bigger arenas and rather than being proud of him, she wasn't happy and they got separated in December 2021.

Ali’s former first wife Sara was also in the show. Many times, during conversation and fights in the house, Ali had indirectly shared “Wo nahi hai abhi”, hinting at his second marriage.
