Leave me in a book shop, I'll be the happiest - Maninee De Mishra

Maninee De Mishra - A kind of a woman who surely deserves accolades for the kind of work she has showcased. Manini is a kind of a woman who stands out in the industry. Her latest stint as a cop in Diya Aur Baati Hum (Star Plus) has left great impact on the minds of the audience.

In this conversation with Maninee De Mishra for her on going show Kabhi Aise Geet Gaya Karo (Disney Channel), she gives out her views related to the show, her character and how this pretty actress is in real.

On her character that she portrays, she says, "She is lovable. She is fun. She is real. She is very sweet. I hardly get to do characters like these. After Diya Aur Baati Hum, I required something like this. Some parts of her are me. Though I may have done a lot of negative, essentially, people who know me, I am a very simple, sorted and a calm person. She has all of these naaz - nakhra."

"Kabhi Aise Geet Gaya Karo is a slice of life. It is very lovable, funny and a fun kind of a show. The show has emotions to it, comedy to it, values of life and a lot of messages that are conveyed which are not preachy. It is an out an out positive show. It has this sweet aspect of life which I think is great. We tend to miss out on it because we are so cynical," answers Maninee when asked about the show.

Maninee finds the lyrical title interesting. She feels, "we are as musical as the title. Our love is as musical and the emotions that people will evoke in you are musical."

How is Maninee in real? "I am not at all like Protibha in real. If you ask my husband (Mihir Mishra), he would probably say, leave her at a book shop and she will be the happiest. I am not interested in buying jewelry neither in getting ready. But if you leave me in the book shop, I will be the happiest."

Like this show stands apart from other ongoing shows on Indian television, Maninee De Mishra too shines out.
