Back in 2019, the melody queen of Bollywood - Lata Mangeshkar was in ICU after she complained of difficulty in breathing. The Bharat Ratna awardee has been extra of her health amid the coronavirus outbreak. 

The COVID-19 outbreak has had a global impact leading nations across the world to go under temporary lockdown and urge their citizens to adopt self-quarantine. Several steps are being taken up by the people to combat the spread of the virus. 

Similarly, Mangeshkar has been mindful of her health by staying at home like everyone else and taking the right precaution to avoid coming in contact with the virus. She has mentioned avoiding any meetings even when it is a family member. 

A report in Deccan Chronicle quoted her saying, “I am extremely careful. I am not meeting anyone and even if it is a family member, it is a ‘Hi, hello, how are you?’ from a distance.”

Mangeshkar adds that she is diligently following her doctors’ instructions. “I am following my two personal doctors’ and three nurses’ orders blindly. Whatever they say I can’t do, I don’t even think about it,” she says.

When asked if she listens to her old classic songs, during this self-isolation time, she replied, “Never. Once I record my songs, I don’t go back to them. I spend my time doing riyaz, puja, and watching TV.”

Meanwhile, the spread of coronavirus has had a global impact and several new cases have been surfacing daily. However, some have managed to be cured and have emerged successful in combating the virus. However, India remains to be under 21-day lockdown after PM Narendra Modi decreed a nationwide lockdown.
