Kyunki 2's Daksh Sharma REVEALS there is DECORUM on sets with Smriti Irani around: 'Jaldi se jaldi kaam..'

Daksh Sharma, who essays the character of Nakul in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2, recently got in an exclusive chat with India Forums and spoke about his experience of working with Smriti Irani on the sets of the show, and his take is quite simple and straightforward. He shared that he has only shot one scene with her so far, but even from that, he got a clear sense of how things function when she is on set.

Talking about the atmosphere, Daksh said that there is nothing very different or unusual about working with her. For him, she is first and foremost an actor on set. He explained, “Maine pehle bhi bola hai ki actor hi hain woh set pe, toh aisa kuch different feel nahi hota. Koi alag vibe nahi hoti.” According to him, things feel normal and work continues as it would with any other co actor.

At the same time, he did point out that her presence does bring a certain discipline. Without making it sound dramatic, he explained that the set naturally becomes more focused. “Jab woh set pe hoti hain toh thoda sa decorum maintain rehta hai. Aur kaam se kaam hota hai. Jaldi se jaldi kaam nikalne ki koshish hoti hai,” he said. The priority remains to finish work efficiently and to make sure scenes are shot well. Everyone is aware that there are many eyes on them, and that reflects in how the team approaches their work.

Daksh also spoke about how people behave around her. According to him, most crew members and people on set stay focused on work. “Kaam karte hain, bas dekhte hain. Aise random baatein nahi karte. Maine dekha hai, Amar sir wagairah, woh aaram se baat kar lete hain, kyunki they have been working from long and they know each other, they have started this journey together. Toh unki aapas mein baat hoti hai.” he shared. However, he clarified that there is no sense of fear or stiffness. People who have known her for a long time interact with ease.

When it comes to his own interaction with her, Daksh admitted it has been limited so far. Since it was his first day and he tends to be reserved in the beginning, he did not have many conversations. He said, “Mere se zyada baat nahi hui thi kyunki mera pehla din tha, aur main waise bhi initial days mein thoda introvert rehta hoon.” He added that he usually takes time to open up to people, which is why his interaction stayed minimal.

What stood out for him more than anything else was watching how she works. He said that on set, he focuses on observing the work rather than getting distracted by other things. “Aap basically yehi notice karte ho ki woh kaam kaise karte hain. Baaki cheezein aap neglect kar dete ho,” he explained. For him, it is about learning from the process and keeping attention on the job at hand.

Given Smriti Irani’s political background as well, we asked Daksh whether there are political discussions on set. His response was clear. He said he has personally not had these discussions. “Hote toh honge hi, par maine personally nahi dekha. Main khud political conversations kisi se nahi karta. Kyunki sabka apna-apna perspective hota hai, aur mujhe lagta hai ki agar aap itni badi jagah pe ho jahan aapke bolne ya na bolne se logon par effect pad sakta hai, toh log generally kuch bolne se bachna pasand karte hain,'' Daksh said.

''Sab thode diplomatic rehte hain. Main bhi, agar mujhe kisi topic par 100% knowledge nahi hai, toh main bolna prefer nahi karta. Kyunki bahut log sun rahe hote hain aur aapke muh se kuch galat na nikal jaye ya koi aisi statement na ho jisse kisi par effect pade. Toh main toh kisi se bhi is topic par baat nahi karta. Har kisi ka apna perspective hota hai, woh sahi bhi ho sakta hai, par woh unka viewpoint hai, toh usse wahi rehne dete hain,” he stated, adding that everyone has their own perspective and it is better to respect that.
