Kunal Jaisingh on Working with Nakuul Mehta Again: I don’t even need to read the Script!

Actor Kunal Jaisingh got in a fun and candid conversation with us at India Forums where he spoke to us about his quarantine routine, Bigg Boss, dream role, working with Nakuul Mehta and much more…

Talking about his quarantine routine and spending time at home, Kunal said, “My quarantine routine has been very basic because I don’t know what else you can do. When you are out you have a hundred choices. Initially, I was so used to waking up early because of shooting for Pavitra Bhagya, I used to wake up at 5 am when the things were not that bad and have a walk around my area. But slowly slowly the calmness of not being shooting and just being around at home started setting in. I have also been sleeping a little late, catching up on a lot of shows and movies.”

He added, “I wake up, I have my cup of coffee, go through the news and get myself aware of the situation around, Then I help my wife with chores and have lunch with my family. One thing which has been great is that we have been eating together which unfortunately because of everyone's work schedule was not very often. Around 5  o'clock, I do my workout as much as I can, my cardio vascular workout which I like doing.”

He also opened up on taking part in the reality show Bigg Boss and said, “Let’s see I have not given a thought about Bigg Boss as yet but you never know how things turn out.” Talking about participating in Nach Baliye, he said, “Of Course If opportunity presents itself then I would love too. I am not a great dancer, Bharati is a fabulous dancer.”

He also spoke about his dream role and shared, “I dont have such a dream role but what I am really liking is the kind of shows that I have been a part of. Every character has broken the image of the previous character. So I am very happy to have that kind of opportunity and being offered to play those characters.”

When asked about his fav costar, Kunal said,  “All my co-stars are my favorutite, I have no discrimination between anyone. I am so fortunate honestly I have always shared a very good equation with all my co-stars. Everyone is so special, unique and so warm.”

He also mentioned that he would love to work with Nakuul Mehta again, when asked about the same he shared, “Of Course, I don't even want to hear the script, I don’t want to hear anything if Nakuul is a part of it then I am a part of it. Whatever role it is, I’ll do.”

Kunal further added, “A lot of people asked me why is Bigg Boss coming in place of Pavitra Bhagya. We stopped shooting as long as the government gave the orders, even much before the lockdown. It’s just that we don’t like to work by breaking rules, we are a new show, we were just two weeks into our telecast. Other shows have been around a little longer, so they have that many episodes to play on repeat. We would have to play on loop every two week. That would not make sense and that would not help the time slot that we are in. So that's the decision that the channel and production house together took.”
