Kumkum Bhagya actress Pooja Banerjee on shooting amid COVID 19 and getting habituated to the new normal

Pooja Banerjee has resumed shooting for Kumkum Bhagya as she is all set to step into the shoes of Naina Singh. Given the ongoing situation, it can be rather overwhelming to shoot for daily soaps or stay out on the sets. None the less, Pooja feels that it is only necessary that we get habituated to the new normal and while it is scary, we have to be responsible while also know the risks involved.

Talking about resuming shooting and if it was overwhelming, she says, "It is all good, I was among the few people to have mentioned that the virus is here to stay and we have to get used to the new normal and we have to adapt. We all say that human beings evolve, and while this is not similar but this an adaptation that we have to go through because no one can sit at home thinking that things will be fine one day and wait for that day to come. We just have to get used to the new normal. In fact, we have waited for more than 100 days and it is also true that we needed it for people to realize the severity of the current situation altogether. Because of the lockdown, people have taken things seriously and everyone is acting responsibly."

We also asked her if she was scared and apprehensive about being back on the sets. To this, she added, "It is scary, of course. I think the moment each person said yes to coming for the shoot, knowingly came on set about the risks. They knew that they are carrying a certain amount of risk and we all have to go through it, that is why we all got our insurances done. Having that paranoid effect on us, is, however, not right, while having fear is necessary because people won't be responsible otherwise. But then, of course, it is sad that people are testing positive, and while there are actors testing positive, I know there are friends and family members who have tested positive without stepping out of their house, so what can one do in such a situation after all? One can just take care of their immunity."
