Actor Krip Suri has been on the tube for a while now and it is great how diverse his choice of roles and shows has been so far.
Suri has been the leading man in multiple shows but also done negative roles and mythological characters. In fact, fresh off playing a negative character in Baal Shiv, the actor is now all set and rolling to be doing the exact opposite and will be seen playing a positive role in a fiction drama.
Suri has been roped in to play the role of Virat Singh, a police inspector in the recently launched Colors show, Fanaa: Ishq Mein Marjawan starting Zain Imam, Reem Sheikh and Akshit Sukhija.
Talking about it with ETimes TV, Suri said, “It’s an interesting character, which is serious and sharp when it comes to his work but is also filmi and funny at the same time. The audience will enjoy the track thoroughly. He will go after Agastya Raichand (Zain Imam), as he has wronged a lot of people. Woh uske peeche haath dho kar padd jaayega.”
Usually, positive characters are known to be one-tone. Talking about it, Suri said, “Rarely do you get to explore when you are portraying a positive shade. You get to do that in a negative part. But my new character has a lot of shades and hence, I will be able to explore a lot more and grow as an actor. It’s an amazing combination. So, it feels nice to be back to playing a positive character.”
He concluded saying, “Who doesn’t want to play positive lead characters. It’s easier to forge a connection with the audience when you are playing the quintessential hero in a show. Having said that, I enjoy exploring all shades. My job as an artiste is to play every character I take up with conviction and entertain the audience. I will keep doing that till my last breath. If you ask me, I like to do comedy and romance. But I don’t wish to restrict myself to any shade or genre. In fact, I would love to participate in reality shows now and Bigg Boss tops the list for me.”
We are sure the fans cannot wait to see Suri in this new avatar.
