Kriti Sanon is ‘expecting’ in Mimi first look poster, Film releases in July

After impressing the audiences with her eccentric performances, actress Kriti Sanon is onto her first solo lead film ‘Mimi’.

Mimi is a remake of the National Award-winning 2011 Marathi film Mala Aai Vhhaychy!. The film features Kriti Sanon in the lead role of a surrogate mother, alongside Pankaj Tripathi and Sai Tamhankar.

On Thursday, Kriti shared the first look of Mimi and the quirky poster has successfully piqued our curiosity levels. Sharing the motion poster and first look, the actress wrote on Instagram:

"This July, expect the extraordinary from the ordinary! Stay tuned."

In the poster, Kriti looks shocked as she cradles her baby bump, which has a question mark on it. Well, the makers have been tightlipped about the story of the film.

Directed by by Laxman Utekar, written by Rohan Shankar and produced by Dinesh Vijan, Mimi also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Sai Tamhankar, Manoj Pahwa, Supriya Pathak in pivotal roles.

Recently, it was reported that Mimi may opt for a direct to digital release owing to the lockdown in the country. However, the makers are yet to announce any update.

Besides, Kriti Sanon has multiple films in the pipeline and she will be seen in Bhediya with Varun Dhawan, Bachchan Pandey with Akshay Kumar, Adipurush with Prabhas, Ganpath with Tiger Shroff, and Hum Do Hamare Do along with an unannounced film.
