Kriti Sanon gets emotional at Adipurush trailer launch, talks about her character Janaki

To promote her upcoming film Adipurush, Kriti Sanon attended the trailer launch event in Mumbai with co-star Prabhas. After a successful preview event for fans in Hyderabad, Kriti donned a custom-designed pristine white and gold saree for the occasion. Fans were impressed with her stunning outfit and took to social media to praise her elegant look. At the trailer launch event, Kriti got emotional as she gave everyone insights about her role as Janaki.

The actress said she felt very emotional and did not expect to feel that way at the trailer launch event. She expressed gratitude towards the director for believing in her and allowing her to play the character of Janaki. 

She acknowledged that there are very few actors who get the chance to play such a role in their lifetime and she feels blessed to have been given this opportunity. Kriti said, "Jai Shree Ram, Jay Siya Ram Main aaj bohot emotional hoon, mine ye expect nahi kiya tha. Bohot baar mai trailer launch ke event pe ayi hu, bohot baar aap sabke samne iss stage pe khadi huve hu lekin aaj main bohot emoitonal thi."

She also mentioned that during the filming process, her respect and admiration for the character grew as she understood her better. She described Janaki as a kind and loving person with a strong mind and expressed her excitement for the audience to see the film and experience the same emotions as she did while playing the character.

She further added, "Kyuki yeh film jo hai, yeh khali film nahi hai, yeh usse badh kar hain hum sab ke liye aur iss film ko banate huve bhi jo hum sab ne experience kiya sabse pehle mai thankyou bolna chahungi, Om Thankyou so much. Apne mujhe Janaki ki kaabil samjha. Apko ye vishwas tha mujhpe ki main Janaki ka role nibha sakti hu. Bohot hi kum actors honge jinke lifetime mai unhe aisa role nibhane ka mauka mila hoga. So I feel very blessed."

The Mimi actress concluded saying, "Pure maan se puri shraddha se puri respect se ye role nibhane ki koshish ki hai. Ye ek aisa kirdaar hai mere liye, sharddha pehle se toh thi lekin film ke dauran vo sharddha aur badhti gayi kyuki main aur iss kirdaar ko samjhti gayi. Ek bohot kind soul, ek bohot hi loving heart aur strong mind ka combination hai mere liye ye kirdar."

Adipurush also stars Sunny Singh and Devdatta Nage and will be released in theatres on June 16 in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. Ajay-Atul of Sairat fame composed the music for the movie. Adipurush will also have a world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival on June 13.
