The unfortunate news of Kriti Kharbanda quitting Rumi Jaffery’s Chehre, starring Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi in lead roles, broke out a few days ago. Ever since the news came out, many reasons were speculation behind the actress’s drop out from the film.
The Internet was flooded with the reason behind her exit to be her starry tantrums and professional behavior, however, that stands untrue. As per a recent report in Spotboye, Kriti refused to do intimate scenes, kiss and smooch an actor, which led to arguments between her and the makers of the film.
The scene in question, shot in Mumbai, required Kriti to get intimate with a certain actor, while her co-star Emraan watches her from an adjacent room. She suddenly felt that the scene was not essential. Post discussions and arguments, she quit the film, reports Spotboye.
The makers of Chehre put out an official statement stating Kriti’s exit from the film and called it a mutual decision. Anand Pandit Motion Pictures tweeted, “In the light of recent media reports, we wish to clarify that @kriti_official & @apmpictures have mutually agreed to part ways on a cordial & professional note. We wish her success in all her future endeavors!"
Well, it’s only been a few hours to the announcement, the makers have already begun the hunt for a replacement of the actress. A few names have started to pop up as a Pinkvilla report reveals that the producer Anand Pandit has met Ankita Lokhande and they have discussed the film, and reportedly the actress has liked the story and given a verbal nod as well.
Besides Ankita, Mouni Roy too seems to be in talks for the film. And, as per a few reports, the makers have already zeroed in on Iranian model-actress Elnaaz Nourouzi, who was last seen in Sacred Games. The report claims that the makers are already in talks with her and they have also finalized her.
However, no official announcement has been made as of now.
