Sony SAB’s Tenali Rama continues to keep viewers hooked with its captivating tales revolving around the legendary poet and sharp-witted strategist, portrayed effortlessly by the talented Krishna Bharadwaj. The recent episodes have taken a dramatic turn, as Rama stumbles upon an age-old manuscript that holds crucial proof supporting King Krishnadevaraya’s (played by Aditya Redij) legitimate rule over Vijayanagar.
However, as this discovery surfaces, whispers start spreading throughout the kingdom, raising questions about the king’s lineage and whether he truly deserves the throne.
In the episodes ahead, Rama embarks on a mission to locate a particular book believed to have the power to alter the astrologer’s dire prediction—that King Krishnadevaraya is destined to abdicate his throne. Rama heads to the royal library, determined to find the ancient text. In a desperate move, he even attempts to destroy the book by setting it ablaze, hoping to prevent anyone from using it to challenge the king’s reign.
But just as Rama believes he has neutralized the threat, an unexpected twist rocks the palace—Surya, the Chief of the Army, makes a bold announcement, claiming his own right to the throne.
As tensions escalate, one question dominates the minds of all: Can King Krishnadevaraya, whose lineage is under constant scrutiny, overcome fate and continue to rule Vijayanagar?
Krishna Bharadwaj, playing the role of Tenali in Tenali Rama, said, "What I love about playing Rama is that he’s not a superhero—he’s a man with a conscience, flaws, fears, and fire. In this track, he faces an unimaginable dilemma: he must find a book that could change the prophecy predicting that King Krishnadevaraya will give up his throne. What fascinates me is the internal struggle Rama goes through—he’s ready to go to any length to protect his king, even if it means challenging fate itself. I relate to that determination, because as an actor, there are times when a script feels like an impossible challenge, but you know you must give your best to make it work. This battle becomes deeply personal for Rama, and it’s moments like these that remind me why I love portraying him—there’s always another layer, another twist, and a new challenge to explore."
