'Kora Kagaz' actress Seema Deo passes away at 81
Veteran actress Seema Deo left for heavenly abode at the age of 81.

Seema Deo, a revered figure in the world of Indian cinema, has passed away at the age of 81 due to age-related ailments, as confirmed by her filmmaker son, Abhinay Deo. Her legacy is marked by iconic roles in films like "Anand" and "Kora Kagaz."
The veteran actor, renowned for her contributions to both Hindi and Marathi cinema with a repertoire of more than 80 films, breathed her last at her residence in Bandra. Seema Deo had been contending with Alzheimer's disease for the past three years.
Her son Abhinay Deo shared, "She passed away at 8.30-9 am at her residence in Bandra due to old age. She had been withdrawn completely, and eventually it is just old age. Alzheimer's is such a thing that you stop figuring out how to function. She had dementia leading up to Alzheimer's and she was suffering from it for over three years."

For the unversed, Seema Deo's husband, Ramesh Deo, a distinguished figure in Hindi and Marathi cinema, passed away in 2022 at the age of 93.
She is survived by her two sons: actor Ajinkya Deo and filmmaker Abhinay Deo. Abhinay Deo is recognized for his directorial work in films such as "Delhi Belly" and "Force." On the other hand, Ajinkya Deo's cinematic journey includes notable films like "Sansaar," "Indrajeet," and "Aan: Men at Work."
