KL Rahul and Athiya Shetty have been Dating since few months, Confirms a Close Friend

Actress Athiya Shetty has been making headlines for her rumored relationship with cricketer KL Rahul. While nothing concrete has surfaced yet, the duo is often spotted together making public appearances and enjoying dinner dates. They have neither accepted their relationship nor denied it, but their social media PDA has a different story to tell. 

They often leave quirky comments on each other's posts, which only further hints at something brewing between them. Earlier, on the occasion of Athiya’s birthday, Rahul had posted a birthday wish for her with a special message. This gesture had added fire to the already high speculations, of the two dating.

There were also reports that contrary to popular belief, Rahul might not be dating Athiya, but her close friend, Akansha Ranjan. However, a close friend of the two has finally confirmed their relationship, rubbishing all other rumors.

A close friend of Athiya and Rahul revealed that their friendship slowly turned into a romance. They had always been friends but weren’t dating each other and they try to spend as much time together, despite their busy schedules. 

Confirming their relationship, a close friend of the duo told the Times of India,  “Akansha and Rahul are best friends. She didn’t set him up with Athiya. They have been friends for a long time. Both have a crazy sense of humor and most of their buddies had anticipated their friendship transforming into romance. The two have been dating for a few months now. Given their schedules, they try to spend as much time with each other as possible.” 

Meanwhile, Athiya and Rahul brought in the New Year together in Thailand with a bunch of other close friends. They shared a couple of pictures from their trip on their Instagram.
