Bangalore, July 15 (IANS) It was all about glamour, fun and good times at the Kingfisher Derby 2013, which saw a crowd of 20,000, cheering and lauding when Alaindair won the tournament.

This year, all records were broken as 20,000 people attended the Kingfisher Derby 2013 Sunday, shared Samar Singh Sheikhawat, senior vice president, marketing, United Breweries Ltd.

"Year after year, the Kingfisher Bangalore Summer Derby has been successful in bringing new levels of exhilaration to the fore. It is one podium that converges horse power, fashion, fun and good times. I thank the race enthusiasts who have, over the years, turned out in great numbers to make it a racing spectacle," he said.

If the event witnessed horses giving their best, it was also high on fashion with elite guests sashaying in ultra glamorous clothes and designs at the Bangalore Turf Club (BTC). Among the known faces spotted at the venue were acclaimed southern actors Ambareesh and Mohan Babu.

When it comes to performance, Alaindair's remarkable performance wooed the crowd. Trained by Altamash Ahmed and jockeyed by A. Sandesh, the stunning horse won the "Silver Horse" trophy.
