Kiara Advani's Film Indoo Ki Jawaani Eyeing a Digital Release?

Due to the lockdown, theatres are closed and many big banner films have been postponed from their original date.

A barrage of films are waiting for release after the lockdown is lifted and in such a scenario, it will be difficult for filmmakers to accommodate all films for a theatrical release. In case the cinema halls and theatres do not open by June, many films will have to be shifted for a direct digital release.

Recently,  Amitabh Bachchan and Ayushmann Khurrana's Gulabo Sitabo and Vidya Balan's Shakuntala Devi announced their digital release and many more films are in talks for a web release.

The latest one to join the bandwagon is reported to be Kiara Advani’s Indoo Ki Jawaani. 

"Kiara's film is completely ready and the post-production work is also almost done. The film was being planned for a release in the first week of June. Now, Nikkhil Advani and Monisha Advani, from Emmay Entertainment are in talks to release it on the web," Pinkvilla quoted a source as saying.

Meanwhile, there has been no official confirmation about the same, but the report states that the filmmakers are in talks with multiple streaming platforms and will choose the platform which offers them the best price.

Directed by Abir Sengupta and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Indoo Ki Jawaani revolves around a girl from Ghaziabad and her misadventures with dating apps. The film features Aditya Seal and Kiara Advani in the lead roles.
