Karan Johar advised Kiara Advani to let her eyes roll for the infamous vibrator scene in Lust Stories!

Kiara Advani rose to fame, amongst the audience and the Bollywood industry, with Karan Johar directorial Lust Stories, paired opposite the talented Vicky Kaushal. Though her debut movie in Bollywood was Fugly, also starring Mohit Marwah, Vijender Singh and Arfi Lamba, people started recognising her as an actress after her stint in Lust Stories. Kiara’s role as Meghna, a school teacher who gets married to Paras (Vicky Kaushal) and is left sexually unsatisfied, established her as one of the new-age actresses.
In one of the previous interviews, Kiara revealed how doing Lust Stories changed people’s outlook in her as an actress, “I feel Lust Stories gave me a role, an opportunity to do a strong performance-oriented role and I feel that it definitely made people realise that ‘Hey! She can act.’ So it was just one of those roles that will always be special for me. It opened a lot of doors for sure. Many people appreciated my work, they called me and it was definitely an important career change in my life.”

Talking about the scene and how she prepared herself for it, in a chat show with Neha Dhupia, the 26-year-old actress revealed, “Karan Johar showed me how to do everything, but that scene. He wanted me to be uninhibited. He made sure there was a very small unit on screen. He didn't want me to laugh. I was so nervous the night before, and I had actually googled how people use a vibrator. I watched a couple of scenes from films like The Ugly Truth, to see what it was all about.”
She further added, that Karan advised her to be real, “Do it very sincerely. Let it be real. Let your eyes roll.”

Talking about her flop debut, Advani said that she went to many directors post that for roles in films but no one was ready to work with her. But, now, the same directors want to cast her in their films. "In Bollywood, it was 'Lust Stories' that gave me an opportunity to act," the diva said during an interaction.
On the work front, Kiara Advani is busy promoting her upcoming movie Kabir Singh along with her co-star Shahid Kapoor, which is slated to release on June 21. She will also be seen in Karan Johar's Good News and Captain Vikram Batra biopic Shershaah, Laxmmi Bomb opposite Akshay and Indoo Ki Jawani.
