Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom are expecting their first child and the couple has finally revealed the gender. The American singer took to social media on Friday evening to reveal the gender along with her fiance.
'It's a girl,' captioned the 35-year-old singer, who shared a photograph of Bloom with his face covered in pink-toned whipped cream. The sweet snapshot appeared to be from gender reveal celebration. They smartly hinted at the gender using color and that explains a lot.
Perry announced her pregnancy about a month ago and the 13-time Grammy nominee revealed the major milestone in the music video for her song "Never Worn White." At the end of the short film, fans saw Perry cradling her baby bump.
Speaking on an Instagram live, she said that "I am excited. We're excited and happy and it's probably the longest secret I've ever had to keep.”
"And I like to tell you guys everything but I knew I would tell you in the best way, which is through a piece of music because that's... I guess that's how I speak to you. That's how we speak together to each other," added Perry.
This will be Perry's first child, but Orlando's second, and that he shares nine-year-old son Flynn with ex-wife Miranda Kerr.
The pair met in 2016 during The Weinstein Company's star-studded Golden Globes afterparty, where they photographed flirting up a storm.
