Karanvir Sharma on response to 'A Thursday': I am sure this film would do wonders for everybody

Karanvir Sharma is gearing up for his next movie, 'A Thursday' co-starring the likes of Yami Gautam, Neha Dhupia, Dimple Kapadia, among others. The actor spoke to India Forums on what has the response to the trailer of 'A Thursday' been for him, trends on social media, and some more.

How has the first hand response to the trailer been for you?

The response has been so good, as expected, its got a lot of thrills. It is one of Yami's finest work for sure. As for my fans, the love that they give me is unparalleled. Just seeing a glimpse of me they feel very very elated and ecstatic, so I can't thank my fans enough for it.

You, the film, and Yami have all been trending on social media. Feels like a good start?

My trend, I have to give it up to my fans solely, that's how powerfully they're connected to me, and it really feels good that Yami is also getting appreciated as a performer, even more by every film she does. The film itself, is getting the much needed attention that it deserves, and this kind of a story, I must say, deserves to be told.

How excited are you to see the reaction to when the film is finally out there for everyone to see?

I am really excited, because firstly, this is a big responsibility towards my fellow director and producer, Behzad Khambata and Ashley Lobo, who initially got me on board, and when Behzad does well, I will be happy for a friend as well and then as an actor for him. I'll really be happy for that, I think he deserves it, he is a brilliant storyteller, especially for thrillers, and I should not typecast him (laughs), but I guess I am allowed because I am a friend. 

I am looking forward to a good role, I honestly get better roles in other mediums but in feature films, if people like my work, I would like them to give me good quality content so that I could be very proud, just like this. This film, I am sure, would do wonders for everybody.

Well, though fans are yet to see more of Karanvir, we bet they are glad and now looking forward to whatever is in store with the film's release. Meanwhile, the movie is slated to stream on Disney+ Hotstar on February 17.
