When you plan and practice a mega project that is a magnum opus, everything rides on the same, isn't it? That has been the case ever since the director, producer Karan Johar announced his most ambitious project, the historical drama Takht.
Starring an alluring ensemble cast that includes Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar and Anil Kapoor, the film was scheduled to be going on floors sooner rather than later. However, the film has already had quite a few bumps in its journey, to begin with, which includes having controversies regarding the content, and the scriptwriter being accused of a communal tweet.
The project was still being continued but now with the virus situation, sources say that Takht is strictly a no-can-do project for everyone concerned. Coming to the other project, Dharma Productions, which closed its office temporarily this week, may also have to re-think, restructure, and even drop some of their other projects like Dostana 2 and the Deepika Padukone-Sidhant Chaturvedi starrer that was recently announced.
