Karan Johar remembers his first meeting with best friend Shah Rukh Khan on his 56th birthday

Today is Shah Rukh Khan's 56th birthday, and social media is flooded with birthday greetings from fans and industry colleagues. On this special occasion, SRK's best friend Karan Johar wrote an emotional note in which he recalled their first meeting. 

KJo revealed in his post that he met SRK on the sets of 'Karan Arjun.' He also discussed how Shah Rukh influenced his life and career. 

Karan posted on Instagram,met him on the sets of Karan Arjun for the first time …. I tagged along with my father to hang out with Kajol… not realising i was going to meet a man who would go on to shape my life , my career and my very being ….his charisma and intelligence is a globally known fact … but I have the privilege of witnessing his humanity and heart… an unmatchable father … a rock solid husband … a loving brother and an indispensable friend …. He is all that and so much more … Love you so much Bhai … may every Mannat of yours get answered and the abundant love you rightfully deserve keep coming your way…Happy Birthday!

Shah Rukh and Karan have always been there for each other during difficult times. Karan was recently seen standing by SRK and his family during Aryan Khan's arrest. He was even seen paying a visit to Mannat to express his support. 

SRK appeared in Karan's directorial debut, 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.' It went on to do extremely well at the box office, and fans continue to enjoy watching it. King Khan's films include 'Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham,' 'Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna,' and 'My Name is Khan.'
