Director Karan Johar is here, there, and everywhere. Self-admittedly, Johar has mentioned how he wants to do it all and the man certainly does. From making appearances on an array of events or parties to doing multiple reality shows on the small screen, to having his own talk-show, to producing some of the biggest films and of course, to directing - Johar definitely does it all.

But having such a constant presence leads a celebrity like him to be subject to almost constant trolling and bashing as we have seen in the recent past. Interestingly, someone like Johar, who was almost constantly active on social media has toned it down several notches and mostly only talks about his professional commitments now.

When he was asked about it recently, Johar accepted that he has restricted himself to be posting stuff mostly about his movies on his social media feed.

He said that, for him it's a platform where one is leveraging to build a connection with the world outside, and that it’s his job.

Elaborating further, he added that he’s not there to disassociate himself from his filmmaking or for his storytelling narrative which is the most critical part of who he is. He said that it defines him and if he has a film release he is going to use social media as a place to create awareness or talk about the same.

Talking about the constant trolling he said that he doesn't care about the same like he used to earlier and he said that commenting on his sexuality, commenting on what they believe he is etc is a thing but the man who will be 50 in May mentioned that he is grateful for who he is.

On a closing note he added, that his funda in life is very simple- “Love me, hate me for heaven’s sake don't be indifferent to me because that's something that might kill me. Indifference is something that I can bear”.

As known, Johar is marking his return to directing after six years with the film, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani that stars Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in lead roles.
