Kanye West allegedly sends Kim Kardashian legal notice over kids at Met Gala 2025: But was it all a hoax?

In what seems like yet another chapter in the ongoing drama between Kanye West and Kim Kardashian, reports recently stirred the internet claiming the rapper had sent a legal notice to his former wife regarding the care of their children during the 2025 Met Gala. However, the entire episode may have been nothing more than a dramatic hoax.

The buzz began when a TMZ report stated that a legal letter, supposedly sent by Kanye’s lawyer, accused Kim of negligence, particularly leaving their daughter North West unattended in a car during the high-profile fashion event. The letter also objected to Kim posting photos and videos of their children on social media, something Kanye has publicly opposed several times.

According to the alleged document, Kanye was demanding that Kim immediately cease any behavior that "violates his parental rights" or the joint custody terms settled in November 2022. The accusations included not only social media misuse but also limiting Kanye’s access to their four children: North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm.

But things took a strange turn when TMZ followed up with a second report casting serious doubt on the legitimacy of the letter. The legal notice was supposedly from a JB Law Firm based in Palma, Spain, but no such firm appears to exist there. A similar-sounding law firm does pop up in the Canary Islands, but its website is non-functional, adding to the suspicion that the letter may have been entirely fabricated.

Both Kim and Kanye's teams quickly denied sending or receiving any such legal communication. Kim’s representatives called the letter a “publicity stunt,” while Kanye’s side labeled the claims as “completely false.”

As for Kim, she turned heads at the Met Gala 2025 in a shimmering custom gown that social media couldn’t stop talking about. Though her look won fashion praise, the parenting controversy briefly overshadowed her red carpet moment.

Despite their high-profile split, Kanye and Kim have often found themselves back in the headlines over co-parenting disagreements. This latest incident, real or not only adds to the list of controversies surrounding the former couple’s post-divorce relationship.
