Kanika Kapoor Tests Positive for the Fifth Time for Coronavirus; Won't be Discharged anytime soon

Bollywood singer Kanika Kapoor's fifth test for coronavirus has also come out to be positive. She has tested positive for the deadly virus for the fifth consecutive time. Sample tests for corona patients are carried on every 48 hours.

Earlier when Kanika’s fourth test turned positive, the singer had penned a heartfelt note stating that she misses her family and hopes that the next test is negative.

While her fifth sample test is positive too, she continues to remain admitted at the Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS), Lucknow. The Director of the institute, Prof. RK Dhiman said that the singer's condition was stable and there was no cause for worry. He also asserted that she is taking food normally and information circulated in the media that she is very sick is not true.

In an interview with SpotboyE, Hospital's Director, Dr R K Dhiman went on to offer an update on her health as he said she's feeling much better now. He further added,  "She will be discharged soon, it will take about a week more I think. We have a protocol of keeping the patient in such a case for 2 to 3 weeks. We never discharge any patient pre-maturely."

There were reports that she is in the ICU, but Kanika took to her social media to clarify the news and stated that she is not in the ICU and is doing fine.

Kanika had taken the whole nation by storm when she announced that she was tested COVID-19 positive. She had flown down from London to Lucknow and was also a part of a family gathering and a political dinner. She was reported to have come in contact with over 400 people, and also received flak for attending parties and allegedly risking people’s lives.

The Lucknow police soon traced all her contacts and got them tested, and all have been tested negative for coronavirus. 

In fact, three FIRs have been lodged against the Baby Doll singer for her negligence. As per reports, Kanika has been booked under IPC Sections 188, 269, and 270 at Lucknow’s Sarojini Nagar police station.
