Kangana Ranaut to receive Police Protection from the Himachal Pradesh Government for her Mumbai visit on September 9!

Kangana Ranaut has always been outspoken about her views and she is lauded for her quick and honest reactions. The actress has often locked horns with many celebrities and public figures in her attempt to raise social awareness with her opinions. 

Kangana is currently in Manali and she has also planned her return to Mumbai on September 9, 2020. Meanwhile, the latest reports suggest that the Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jairam Thakur has told the state government that they will be providing security to Kangana Ranaut for her Mumbai visit on September 9.

The recent reports mentioned that Thakur was contacted by Kangana's sister Rangoli to make the request and her father also put forth a formal letter to the Himachal police, requesting security.

"Kangana Ranaut's father has given in writing asking for police protection. I also spoke to her sister yesterday. The Director-General of Police has been directed in this regard and she will be provided security here. We are discussing what can be done to provide security to her outside the state as she is leaving for Mumbai on September 9," Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said in a statement to ANI.

A Times of India report also quoted Haryana Minister Anil Vij who also supported the actress and said, "Kangana Ranaut should be given police protection. She should be allowed to make revelations freely." He alleged that Kangana was being stopped from making revelations on the use of drugs in Bollywood.

Vij took a dig at Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut for allegedly threatening Ranaut and asked, "Mumbai is not anybody's inheritance. Anybody can go there. Actions must be taken against people allegedly threatening her. You cannot stop anybody from speaking the truth. The candle brigades hit the road on every issue. Why are they quiet on this? Why aren't they returning their medals in support of Ranaut, who is being stopped from telling truths?."

The decision comes post-Kangana’s feud with Sanjay Raut - accusing of giving her an ‘open threat’ and asking her not to come back to Mumbai. Home Minister of Maharashtra, Anil Deshmukh also said that Kangana who is in Manali has no right to come back to the city.

Meanwhile, Meanwhile, in one of her tweets, she mentioned about the date of her return to Mumbai while also openly challenging if someone has the audacity to stop her from coming to the city. She wrote, "I see many people are threatening me to not come back to Mumbai so I have now decided to travel to Mumbai this coming week on 9th September, I will post the time when I land at the Mumbai airport, kisi ke baap mein himmat hai toh rok le."

Kangana Ranaut in her recent Tweet has expressed her gratitude to Home Minister Amit Shah for supporting her.
