Actor Kangana Ranaut is in the news yet again and while that in itself is no news, it is indeed a great instance to look at what for.

After helming the mega film, Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi as her directorial debut, Ranaut is all set to don the director's hat again. Titled as Aparajitha Ayodhya it is penned by writer KV Vijayendra Prasad who had penned her previous venture as well as the Baahubali series, this marks as the actress’ yet another ambitious project soon to get rolling.  The actor confirming the news, also mentioned of producing it under her production banner. Aparajitha Ayodhya is based on Ram Mandir case, thus making it one of the hottest topics deserving a watch on its release.

In an interview with Bombay Times, Ranaut said, “The plan wasn’t for me to direct the film. I started it as a project that I worked on from the concept level. I wanted to produce it and rope in another director for it. I was quite busy at that time to even think of direction. However, the script that KV Vijayendra Prasad shared was that of a film set on a large canvas, somewhat on the lines of the historical that I have directed before.”

Apparently, Ranaut was not keen to direct the film but her partners as well as the efforts she had put in it right from scratch made her give a nod to it. “My collaborating partners were also keen that I direct it. Eventually, even I felt that maybe it’s best if I helm this film. So, it all happened organically,” she added.

Interestingly, while Manikarnika was her directorial debut, this film will be her independent directorial debut and when asked is she's nervous, Ranaut said, “No, it does not make me nervous. It’s tougher when you have to carry forward someone else’s vision and find your own vision somewhere in it. In this case, I have worked on this film from scratch, and it’s gratifying and simple once you have the clarity of thought.”

The topic is extremely controversial too but the actor mentioned she wants to treat it as a story above other factors saying, “I want to keep my focus on the film as a filmmaker, entirely. For me, it’s not a controversial subject. I see it as a story of love, faith and unity, and above everything, it’s a story of divinity."
