A few days back, the Forbes Indian Celebrity List was out, which created quite a stir owing to Kangana Ranaut’s sister Rangoli Chandel’s outrage over the actress ranking 70th on the list, while others like Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone topped the list.
While Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli topped the list, the other celebrities ranking under the top 10 included Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone, among others. Kangana Ranaut found herself a spot on the 70th number on the list, which triggered her sister Rangoli, who took to Twitter to call Forbes India a fraud.
She also accused them of incorrect information and claimed that Kangana pays more tax than her entire income mentioned in the poll. "Yeh @forbes_india ek number ka fraud hai, I openly challenge them to prove even one celebrity income they have printed in their magazine, sab PR hai, Kangana pays more tax than her entire income mentioned in the poll... show us who paid how much tax. You can’t just assume people’s income on what basis? Please reply” Rangoli had tweeted expressing her disappointment.
While the magazine maintained silence and did not give any response to Rangoli’s tweet, Kangana has now sent a legal notice to Forbes for publishing incorrect information about her income.
Rangoli shared the legal notice on her Twitter handle and wrote, "Dear ?@forbes_india our legal team has sent this notice to you, we haven’t received a reply yet, please tell us what are your sources and how come you claim to know Kangana’s income and financial worth, please reply fast or face the consequences.”
Forbes India is yet to respond to Kangana’s legal notice. Stay tuned for more updates...
