Kangana Ranaut shares a quirky picture as Queen turns 8; says it changed her life forever

Today, March 7, 2022, Kangana Ranaut's Queen has completed 8 years. The movie, helmed by Vikas Bahl, earned a lot of love and praise from both moviegoers and reviewers. Kangana Ranaut uploaded a throwback photo, in which she can be seen performing a step from the Queen song London Thumakda.

On Monday, the movie marked its eighth anniversary of release. Kangana shared the photo on Instagram stories, alongside cricketers Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni, who were all practicing the same dance routine. Cricketers Ajinkya Rahane, Ravichandran Ashwin, and Stuart Binny were also featured in the photograph.  

Kangana Ranaut is seen in the shot wearing an attire that is identical to the one she wore in Queen. The image is from an ad video for the Indian Premier League (IPL) Season 9 in 2016, made by filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani.

Sharing the photo, Kangana wrote, "On this day (7th March) in 2014 a film came called #Queen... and it changed my life forever..." She added, "I did many iconic roles after that...Datto, Manikarnika, Thalaivii but little did I know, no matter what I do I will forever be remembered as #Queen..." Kangana also added the London Thumakda track as the backdrop music with the picture.

Anurag Kashyap, Vikramaditya Motwane, Anurag Kashyap and Madhu Mantena presented Queen, a comedy-drama helmed by Vikas Bahl  Vikramaditya. Rajkummar Rao and Lisa Haydon also star in the film. Queen received positive reviews, with an appreciation for its directing, writing, and Kangana's appearance.

Upon its premiere, Queen was a huge commercial success. It was nominated for a number of accolades, including six nominations at the 60th Filmfare Awards. The movie also took home the Best Hindi Film and Best Actress honours at the 62nd National Film Awards.
