Kangana Ranaut responds to dating rumours with Chirag Paswan: 'Aaj humare bachche...'

Actor-politician Kangana Ranaut has addressed ongoing speculation linking her with fellow politician Chirag Paswan, putting an end to rumours about a possible relationship. The two had sparked chatter online after a light moment between them in Delhi last year drew attention on social media.

In a recent interaction with ANI, Kangana responded directly to questions around their equation. She dismissed the claims, saying, “No, no, Chirag is a friend. When I see him, I think of a friend. There's no romance happening, let me be honest. We know each other for like... He did his film with me 10 years ago. Agar romance hota toh aaj humare bachche hotey.”

Her remark comes amid continued curiosity around their public appearances, especially after both transitioned into active political roles. Kangana further clarified that their bond remains friendly and rooted in shared professional history rather than anything personal or romantic.

Elaborating on her comfort level around him, she said, “If I wanted to have romance, then it would have happened. It's not happening. You know, like, it's just that... that friendly vibe, you know, which you get from somebody who, who's just kind of your, you know, your type as in like he, he's from also in a way from film industry. So I feel very good around him.”

Kangana represents the Bharatiya Janata Party, while Chirag Paswan currently serves as the Union Minister of Food Processing Industries and is a Member of Parliament from Hajipur, Bihar. Before entering politics, Chirag had a brief stint in films and worked with Kangana in the 2011 romantic drama Miley Na Miley Hum, which marked his acting debut.

On the work front, Kangana was last seen in Emergency, where she portrayed former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The film received mixed critical response and modest box office numbers. She is currently working on a new project titled Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata, announced as a tribute to lesser-known real life contributors.

She also has an untitled psychological thriller lined up opposite R Madhavan. Additionally, discussions around a sequel to Queen continue, a film that remains significant in her career.
