Kangana comes out in support of Nawazuddin & Avneet's 27-year gap casting in upcoming film
Ranaut is all set to add another feather to her already illustrious cap as she turns producer with upcoming film, Tiku Weds Sheru.
As we know, actor Kangana Ranaut is all set to add another feather to her already illustrious cap as she turns producer with upcoming film, Tiku Weds Sheru.
The film has roped in veteran Nawazuddin Siddiqui and teen actor Avneet Kaur to play lead roles. And it is no secret that the age gap between both actors is immense, that being of 27 years.
Bollywood has always been slammed and criticised for casting younger ladies against superstar male leads even as they are 50+.
And hence, this choice was talked about as well. But now, producer Ranaut came out in support of the age gap. The actor-producer also revealed that she was warned against pairing Nawazuddin and Avneet. However, she still went ahead with it because it suited the storyline.
Talking further, Ranaut cited the example of her pairing with R Madhavan in the Tanu Weds Manu franchise. According to her, the juxtaposition of their characters ensured the chemistry. So she believes that Kaur and Siddiqui's pairing will be a hit on the screen. However, she also added that now it is in the hands of the audience to accept them.
