Kanchi Singh & family test negative for COVID-19

In times where almost every other piece of news has been about how one public figure after the other is testing positive for COVID-19, any news about a particular person testing negative is indeed as good as any news can be.

Recently, we reported about how actor Kanchi Singh of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai fame went on to test positive for the virus and further had to quarantine herself.

Now the actor has finally tested negative for COVID-19. But what's better is that her parents, who had tested positive earlier has also tested negative.

Talking about it with ETimes TV, Singh said, "This is a big relief and I cannot even express in words how I happy I was when I got to know that all of us have now negative. The situation all over the country is really bad. My parents and I were asymptomatic but we were naturally stressed. Since we all tested positive we stayed together of course taking all precautions. I can imagine how tough it is for someone who has to isolate and live by himself/herself."

Talking about how she managed quarantine, she said, "In those 14 days we didn’t step out for anything. We took our medicines on time and ate healthy food. I think maintaining a disciplined life in those days helped us a lot. The 14 days were like 14 days of vanvaas but one needs to adhere to the rules in order to fight coronavirus. Also staying positive in these tough times too helps people out because it has helped me and my family too in these unprecedented times."

Now the actor is all set to resume shoot soon.
