Kalash has become a special emotion for me: Aparna Dixit

On the occasion of popular show Kalash’s seventh-year celebrations, lead actress Aparna Dixit, shared her fondest memories on social media.

Speaking more on her favourite show she says,"Kalash has become a special emotion for me. This is a show which has given me immense love from my fans and also this show gave me my star status. I remember every day I would learn something on the sets. The actor I am today is largely due to Kalash. Thanks to Ekta Ma’am and also Nivedita (Basu) Ma’am who trusted me and gave me this opportunity. One of my most fondest memories from the set would be my transformation from Devika to Ambika. It was very challenging. I remember how the whole team helped me. The bond between the cast and crew is very special.”

So what’s your take away from a character like Devika? Aparna says, "A lot but few things which I learnt is how to take a stand for yourself and speak out. Devika was always blessed by god, and the show taught many of us if you are right, god is always going to be with you. And Aparna also follows the same.”

Aparna and Ekta Kapoor have a long fruitful association over the years and they have worked in 5 successful shows of Balaji Telefilms. Talking about the association Aparna says, "When anyone asks me about Ekta Kapoor’s contribution in my career without a second thought I would say it’s huge. She was the guiding force in my career. I completely engrossed myself in the Balaji Telefilms world. It started with Pavitra Rishta and that show gave me an identity in the industry. As a woman, I look up to Ekta Ma’am. No matter what I do in my life, whatever I am today I owe a lot to Ekta Kapoor. She has made my dream come true. I am looking forward to working with her again.”
