‘Justice For Sushant On With Full Force’, says Shekhar Suman One Day After Deciding on Taking A Backseat

June 14, 2020, turned into a black day for Bollywood as actor Sushant Singh Rajput took the drastic step of ending his life by committing suicide. The actor was found hanging at his Bandra house and is reported to be suffering from depression for the last six months. 

SSR’s untimely death raises many questions and many celebrities have come forward to demand a probe in the matter of his suicide case. Actor Shekhar Suman had earlier tweeted “There’s more than what meets the eye” and is relentlessly raising concern in the actor’s death case.

Shekhar also attended a press conference in Patna, held by Tejashwi Yadav, leader of Rashtriya Janata Dal where he demanded CBI investigation in the actor's death investigation. The actor also went to meet Sushant’s parents to pay his condolences. 

However, on Wednesday, Shekhar tweeted that he will be taking a backseat in the case because of the late actors’ family’s silence over the case. In a series of tweets, the veteran actor had clarified his stance.

But Shekhar Suman has revisited his decision and has returned to fight back for Sushant’s justice with full force. His latest tweet reads: 

“I thought about it again and i realized i can't let down the emotions of so many ppl..i will have to continue leading the fight from the http://front.so wat if the family is not coming forward..Sushant was a public figure and we are fighting for him.”

“#justiceforSushantforum goes ahead with full force.We are hopefully nearing a #CBIEnquiryForSushant with @Swamy39 stepping in.Let's hope more powerful politicians and more powerful  ppl from the film industry join in.Amen” he wrote in another tweet.

“Lots of ppl r dissuading me telling me there is no point pursuing Sushsnt's case saying it will just die down and nothing wd happen and i keep telling them,Not This Time,the emotions n prayers of millions of ppl will not go waste.#Wewillwinjusticefor Sushant.”

Earlier on Wednesday, Shekhar had taken to Twitter to inform about his decision of taking a backseat in Sushant Singh Rajput’s case. “Dear all,Thank you for making my voice strong all this while.Allow me to plz take a backseat now.since the family is completely silent on this,it's making me very uncomfortable to go on.i guess its their prerogative and we all shld respect that” he had tweeted.

In another tweet, Suman also clarified that he was not threatened by anyone to take this decision. “Let me make this very clear..ive not been threatened and i care a http://damn.im not backing out..i said im taking a back seat...there is a huge http://difference.im there but let the family come forward and give some statement.”

While Sushant’s post mortem report suggests suicide and hanging as the reason for death, an intense investigation is being carried out by the Mumbai Police in this case as it has become imperative to understand what pushed Sushant to the edge of taking his own life. The Police has interrogated over 30 people in connection to the case including Rhea Chakraborty, Mukesh Chhabra, Sanjana Sanghi, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Rohini Iyer, Siddharth Pithani among others.
