Actor John Abraham does not believe in tailoring responses to please others. He would rather say what he truly feels, which comes through when we ask him if he would follow in the footsteps of his contemporaries and release a film on OTT platforms for any reason.

"I believe, in my head, I am a big screen hero, and I will come on the large screen,” he cotinues, “At this point, I can’t even visualise myself coming for a subscription fees, it is difficult. All my films have been designed for the big screen for the next three years. So that is the way it is going to be for the next few years at least. I don’t have the time to do anything else outside of big screen films at this point of time... But, never say never.” Nothing, according to the 49-year-old, can compare to the experience of watching a movie in a theater.

"It is very simple. Take Sooryavanshi, for example. Watch it [in the theater] with an audience and see the experience you have. . Then go back to your house and see the experience you have watching a film on a tablet. You tell me the difference,” Abraham says, adding, “We make OTT films, don’t get me wrong and we respect those platforms. But, some films are not OTT films.”

The actor's 2022 is set to be hectic, with a packed schedule. He confirms that he will be in the film Pathan, which is also said to star Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone.

"My film Attack will be released on Republic Day 2022, followed by Ek Villain Returns sometime in June on Eid, and I have no idea about Pathan because we have not yet completed filming for it, so I cannot comment," he concludes.
