John Abraham and Akshay Kumar are Goofy Desi Boyz! See Pics

John Abraham’s Batla House and Akshay Kumar’s Mission Mangal is all set to hit the theatres on August 15, 2019. The two big films, both based on nationalist themes will be clashing on the box office. Despite both their films releasing on the same day, the Desi Boyz share only love for each other. 

The two actors were spotted today morning, promoting their respective films at the same venue in Mumbai. John and Akshay share a good rapport with each other off-screen as well, and this can be evidently seen in these pictures.

Akshay was quick to post a picture showcasing their goofy camaraderie. “Make some noise for the Desi Boyz...together we are always a riot! @TheJohnAbraham #BrotherFromAnotherMother,” he wrote in his post.

However, this is not the first time both the actors are clashing at the box office. Akshay's 'Gold' and John's 'Satyameva Jayate' released on Independence Day, last year and both the films did well too.

While commenting on the box office clash with Akshay, the Parmanu actor said in a recent interview, “Honestly, if there was a controversy, I would have loved to create it, but Akshay and I are very dear friends, we really get along. In fact, just the other day we texted each other. There is absolutely nothing there. We are just releasing two films on the same day.”

While Batla House is inspired by the controversial encounter operation which took place in Delhi in 2008, Mission Mangal is based on the real-life story of the Indian Space Research Organisation's Mars Orbiter Mission which made Mars more accessible to explore.

Mission Mangal features an ensemble cast of Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Taapsee Pannu, Nithya Menen, Kirti Kulhari, Sharman Joshi, H. G. Dattatreya, and Sonakshi Sinha. On the other hand, Batla House stars Mrunal Thakur opposite, John Abraham.
