On her granddaughter Navya Naveli Nanda's podcast, What the Hell Navya, Bollywood actress Jaya Bachchan shared her professional experiences. The seasoned actress talked candidly about the difficult shooting environments they had to deal with in the past when vanity vans weren't as common.
When asked about their earlier filming days, Jaya Bachchan said, "We didn't have vans when we used to go outdoor.
When Navya enquired, "The sanitary pads?," the veteran actress responded, "Everything. We had to change behind the bushes. Even the number of bathrooms were insufficient. It was unpleasant and awkward. You used three to four sanitary pads, and you carried plastic bags to throw them away and put them in a basket so you could dispose of them when you got home."
Speaking about the discomfort while shooting for films during her periods, Jaya Bachchan added, “Can you imagine sitting down when you have 4-5 sanitary towels on you? It was really uncomfortable. And then you didn’t have the kind of sanitary towels that you have today, you just stick it on. You had to make a belt with two ends, towels only had loops, to tie tape to it. It was really bad.”
Well talking about the workfront, the actor-politician has an interesting project coming up. She will be seen in ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’, which has Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh in the lead. The shoot of the same has been completed, and it is slated to release on February 10, 2023.
