Lee Fierro who is best known for playing the character of Mrs. Kintner in Jaws passed away at 91 due to the complications from coronavirus. 

The actor was living at an assisted care facility in Ohio where she breathed her last. 

The sad news of her demise was confirmed by Kevin Ryan, artistic director and board president for the Island Theatre Workshop, where Fierro worked as a director and mentor for 25 years. 

A report in Entertainment Tonight quoted Ryan saying, “We will miss her terribly. She spent 40 years here on the Vineyard. I’ve been working with her for 30 years here (on Marthas’s Vineyard) and three years since she moved (to Ohio).” 

While shooting the Steven Spielberg movie in Martha’s Vineyard, Fierro was a drama teacher at the Island Theatre Workshop. She spent more than 25 years there as the artistic director, and she continued helping out well into her 80s. 

Fierro moved to Ohio in 2017 to be closer to her family.
