Jasmin Bhasin Quits 'Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji'

Producers Gul Khan and Nilanjana Purkayasstha had a brilliant start to their first collaboration together where they launched the currently successful show Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala last year. After their first victory, the duo got together for another venture in the form of another Star Plus show, Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji.

The show starring Jasmin Bhasin went on-air back in January and actually struggled to get good ratings ever since. To make that change, a leap is all set to take place in the show which has also been reported already. However, before that happens, a major development is set to place as leading lady Jasmin Bhasin will be quitting the show now.

Yes! That's right. According to a report in Pinkvilla, with the leap coming in Jasmin's character will be shown bonding with a child on-screen, which the actress was reluctant about. Gul was quoted saying, "Jasmin was not okay bonding with a child in the show. Even though she had agreed on the storyline, on scenes level she was uncomfortable. We do not want any actor to be uncomfortable or unhappy while shooting. So we amicably parted ways. We wish her all the best."

The search for Jasmin's replacement is also on.

@ angeljuhi Dont know the actual reason but we are happy that she took a great decision and most of the fans are supporting her for this. Just that we want RoHa in another show now. This show has got most of the original characters out. They have wasted 3 talented actors in this show. It's not only about Jasmin but they had turned RVs character into an obsessive psycho, they made Rocky a father now though Ansh looks so young to play a father. Remember Gul's statement when SC left. She never stuck to the original story.

@Shaina: Gul is lying like she lied about Surbhi C refusing to get pregnant. She does when her shows don't get good ratings when it's fault of her and writing team. Who brings 2 leaps in just 3 months? 1 of 3 years and another of 6 years. Plus she made FL marry twice to other men not the hero. Even Rohit quit the show as his character turned from a decent guy to a psycho. It's not that I love Surbhi C or Jasmine but the way Gul blames her actresses is very disgusting.

I knew this was coming since Rohit and other characters exit last week. Jasmin played a mother in DSDT though it was only towards 2-3 last episodes. Dunno why she quit but it's good she left this show. With producers never listening to actors/fans, it had to happen. Happy was always unhappy....but RoHa fans made such a strong fan base within 6 months. RV ki almost suhaagraat ho gayi happy ke saath but RoHa couldn't propose each other yet:p but seriously will miss this chemistry. With only few original characters left, only Ansh is the saving grace of the show. It went the Bepannah way by not following original storyline. Hope the best trio Ansh-Jasmin-Rohit come again together. Will miss their live sessions with Herumbh sir:( ansh-rohits camaraderie(RoRa). And the songs jab tak jahan (Ansh-jas dance) khamoshiyan (Rohit-Jas). No matter what, Ranvijay-Happy-ROCKY nailed it. Ansh you will be a heart touching actor always:* Humdum mere yours forever ROHA. You were beautiful together
