The budding actress and Bollywood diva Janhvi Kapoor received immense love and appreciation for her performance in Dhadak. The daughter of legendary late actress Sridevi, who was also known as one of the best actresses in Bollywood.
Janhvi has great command over English and Urdu language. Recently, the diva along with her father Boney Kapoor attended the International Film Festival of India 2018 (IFFI) in Goa.
Meanwhile, screenwriter Rumi Jaffrey, who interacted with them at the event was all praises for Janhvi and her command over Hindi and Urdu languages. He said, "Though she just recited one poem in honour of the late Sridevi, not many know the fact that she has written quite a few poems dedicated to her mother, that too in Hindi."
He said, "Her knowledge of Hindi cinema and her choice of brilliant performances by yesteryear actors really surprised me. I didn't expect Jhanvi to take names including Waheeda Rehman in Khamoshi and filmmakers like Satyajit Ray and Bimal Roy."
Adding to it, Jaffrey said, "I was quite surprised when she spoke about a dance performance choreographed by veteran dance director Pandit Birju Maharaj in a film like Shatranj Ke Khiladi which was released more than three decades ago. It shows her understanding of cinema." "If given a chance she would love to be part of the remake of Mr & Mrs 55 starring Guru Dutt and Madhubala," added the screenwriter.
