Janhvi Kapoor's holographic outfit gets heavily trolled for plagiarism

Sridevi and Boney Kapoor's eldest daughter, Janhvi Kapoor is undoubtedly a true-blood fashionista and her chic sartorial sense has been the talk of the town. And why not? She manages to make heads turns everywhere she goes, be it red carpets or casual public outings in the city.

However, her last cover shoot for magazine cover shoot for Cosmopolitan India's January 2019 issue, which featured her in an electric blue dress by Mumbai-based designer label Purple Paisley paired with an unusual wig and messy bangs, has met with brutal trolling on social media. While you wonder why, let us tell you that the holographic dress has an uncanny resemblance to that of Balmain's.

Although the look was a delightful shift from Janhvi's feminine style, Diet Sabya, the anonymous Instagram account that has become a self-proclaimed fashion critic, has accused Purple Paisley of ripping off a dress from Balmain's fall 2018 collection.

Not to forget, Janhvi was trolled not only for her dress but her overall look as well. Add to this, social media users dragged in fashionistas Sonam Kapoor and Rhea Kapoor into it. Well, for those who are caught unaware, Diet Sabya recently called out fashion designer Anamika Khanna's "AK-OK" creations. However, it turned into a a full-scale social media debate after Sonam and Rhea came out in support of Anamika by slamming Diet Sabya on the now-deleted post.

Looks like the Instagram page is now targeting another Kapoor.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Janhvi will be seen in Karan Johar's next directorial venture, Takht, apart from starring in a biopic based on the life of IAF officer Gunjan Saxena.
