Janhvi Kapoor to Star in Remake of Malayalam film Helen

Janhvi Kapoor, who made her Bollywood debut with Shashank Khaitan's Dhadak opposite Ishaan Khattar has several big banner films including Dostana 2, Roohi Afza opposite Rajkummar Rao, Takht and Rannbhoomi in her kitty.

As per reports, the latest addition to her pipeline is the remake of Malayalam movie, Helen. Reportedly, Janhvi will star in the Hindi remake of the survival thriller.

Reports suggest that the remake is being produced by Zee Studios and Boney Kapoor - Janhvi's father. Mathukutty Xavier who directed the original film, will also be helming the remake.

While Janhvi is reported to lead the film, ETimes states that veteran actor Manoj Pahwa will essay the role of Janhvi Kapoor's father in the film. 

The Hindi remake of Helen is slated to go on floors in the next 2-3 months and Janhvi will be shooting in Lucknow and in Uttar Pradesh for some parts. 

Helen is a story of a young nurse who wishes to relocate to Canada. However, things take an ugly turn when she does not return home from work and suddenly disappears. The original film stars Anna Ben in the title role, while Lal, Noble Babu Thomas, Aju Varghese, Rony David and Binu Pappu appears in supporting roles.
