Janhvi Kapoor Reveals Her Last Conversation with Mom Sridevi

In a shocking turn of events, the Hawa Hawai of Bollywood - Sridevi, left for heavenly abode on  February 24, 2018, in Dubai, where she was attending her nephew Mohit Marwah's wedding along with her husband Boney Kapoor and daughter Khushi. Her sudden death had left family, friends and thousands of fans in a state of shock. 

While Sridevi’s death is a mystery in itself, her death certificate said that death was caused due to "accidental drowning’ after she was found unconscious in her bathtub, in Dubai. Her untimely demise had left her family members devastated, and her elder daughter and actor Janhvi Kapoor had revealed the last conversation she had with her mother Sridevi before she passed away.

In an interview with Karan Johar, Janhvi revealed that whenever she was at home, her mother, Sridevi would put her to sleep, and the late actress would also lovingly feed her food when they were home. 

The night before Sridevi was supposed to leave for Dubai, Janhvi had asked her mother to put her to sleep. By the time Sridevi finished packing and went into Janhvi’s room, the actor was already half asleep. The Dhadak actress mentioned how even in half-sleep, she could feel her mother slowly patting her head.

The next morning Janhvi had to leave for shooting as she was still filming for her debut film, Dhadak at that time. She left early in the morning and could not say goodbye to her mom Sridevi. And, that was the last memory Janhvi had with her mother before she passed away.

Janhvi often remembers her mother and shares beautiful pictures on social media in Sridevi’s memory. Last year, on Sridevi’s birth anniversary, Janhvi had visited Tirupati temple to pray for her mother’s departed soul to rest in peace.
