It's a tough time for the movie Jabariya Jodi as it is not just struggling with it's release date but also with the rules and regulation of our censor board. The ride till release has not been the smoothest for Sidharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra starrer as the censor board made quite a few edits.
The movie received a U/A certificate from The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) and the makers were directed to remove a few references and abusive words from the dialogues. As per the reports of Hindustan Times, the makers were asked to use milder words instead of strong dialects.
The reports revealed all the pointers from the CBFC instruction. Number of Hindi curse words were replaced by milder words and in some cases even references are changed. For instance in the trailer itself we saw that there is a mention of giving a rest to the left hand, baaye haath ko aaram de (referred to masturbation). The board instructed that baaya haath in this dialogue should be replaced with emotion, jasbat.
Have a look at the nine pointer list:
1. Muted the word “Ma***”
2.Muted word “ma**”
3. Replaced the word “ha****” with “baklol” and "bawli” in two different places
4.“Baaya Hath” replaced with “Jajbato” ko araam de rahe hain. (This was present in the trailer as well)
5. As per the report, the “Baaya Hath” scene has been replaced with other shots
6. Chu******” replaced with “Bewkoofi”
7. Name of state replaced with “yahan par” in “nasbandi ke baad bhi londe paida hote hai”
8.Details of copy right holders - Karma Media And Entertainment LLP, Balaji Telefilms Ltd - in the beginning of the film.
9.Where ever it occurs, added anti-smoking static to all the smoking scenes.
Anywho, the movie will hit the theaters tomorrow and now it's up to the audience to decide if they like the platter that is being served to them or not. Haven't caught the trailer yet? Well, you can watch it right here.
