It's Official: All Shoots Stop Sighting Coronavirus Pandemic

Producers Association cancels shoot

As Coronavirus gets declared to be a global pandemic by World Health Organisation, everyone is trying their best to protect themselves and the society as a whole. With big fashion shows, malls and theatres being shut till the virus dies it’s death, shooting in Mumbai also gets stalled to keep their team safe from the virus. 

In one of the announcement made today, Producer, Saurabh Tewari shared a letter issued by Indian Motion Picture Producers’ Association as the body jointly decides to stop the shooting of Films, TV Shows, Web Series and all other Entertainment including digital formats. This shall come in effect from 19th March, 2020 and will continue till 31st of March, 2020. 

The letter also mentions that the body appreciates and supports all the steps taken by the Government of India to control the virus. And that till the stoppage come in effect, all units have been strictly told to follow all precautionary and preventive measures without fail. Also, the decision about re-starting the shoot will be taken on 30th March, 2020, considering the situation at the time.

Although this move is will mean loss of revenue for many, it is extremely essential for the health safety of India’s population. We must take all the required steps to keep our friends and family safe.
