The character of Mami is totally different from that you have done previously, so how has been your transformation on television?

I have flaunted my hair a lot for western look on my previous shows. So I thought it is time to try some traditional look. Along with that it is a very interesting character, it is negative and comical too. It is really challenging and different role for me as it’s got grey shades with comedy touch. It is always better to do something different. My producers too wanted me to do something different and nice and then the channel liked it which made them fix this look for me.

You are coming back after a long time on television, what have you been busy with?

I have been busy with partying and enjoying as I wanted to spend sometime with myself. I started working at the age of 14 on the show Hum Panch. My work life started very early and didn't get a chance to live my childhood. So I took out some time to enjoy myself.

What made you to take this show?

I took a long enough break and realised that I have wasted quite some time. So I thought I should get back to work. My cameo on Colors' Madhubala - Ek Ishq Ek Junoon made me realise that I can do daily soaps too. I think I am little lucky as Sphere Origin’s offered me the show Gangaa in which I will have a full-fledged role. Playing this role has its own challenges and that made me to take it.

Lastly, any message for the viewers?

Just watch this show, as it will bring a change in television industry. If you will understand the story, it will surely give you goosebumps. I can assure you all that the show will not be dragged, rather it will be a fast paced. So just sit back, watch the show and enjoy it.
