It gets difficult after a cast member leaves the show: Dilip Joshi on Shailesh Lodha’s exit from TMKOC

Sony SAB show ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ootah Chahshmah’ always manages to stay in the headlines. Be it the actors’ rapport with each other or the exits from the show, TMKOC is almost always the talk of the town. While there where news about Daya ben returning to the show, the update about actress Disha Vakhani delivering her second baby started doing the rounds. The news indirectly clarified that Disha will not return to the show anytime soon.

Furthermore, news about actress Rakhi Tandon replacing Disha as Daya ben started to go viral. Amidst all the news updates, actor Shailesh Lodha who played the role of Tarak Mehta in the decided to put down his papers and bid an adieu to the viewers and the show.

Shailesh apparently left the show as he wasn’t satisfied with the character growth in the show. Post his exit, actor Dilip Joshi who plays the character of Jethalal shared his thoughts on Lodha’s exit. He said, “Change is inevitable. Thodi difficulty to hoti hai when they leave the show, of course as a rhythm is set with your co-stars, but never say never Shailesh Bhai Aa Bhi sakte hai waise (he can even return to the show)”.

Post quitting the show, Shailesh signed up a show titled ‘Wah Bhai Waah’. Talking about the same, he said, "I am exhilarated to be a part of Shemaroo TV’s latest original, ‘Waah Bhai Waah’. Being a poet myself, this format is very close to my heart, and I am grateful that Shemaroo has decided to come up with a show like this to promote the poets from our country and their talent."

Before Shailesh, actors like Nidhi Bhanushali, Jheel Mehta, Bhavya Gandhi, Neha Mehta, Gurucharan Singh, Dilkhush Reporter among others quit the show.
