Ishita prepares a birthday cake for birthday boy Rahul!

Rahul Sharma aka Akash of Star Plus' Ek Ghar Banaunga has turned a year older today. The actor is elated on his special day and he is having a working birthday today. The birthday celebration for Rahul began last night when the clock ticked 12 and he got a nice surprise by his team of Ek Ghar Banaunga.

The birthday boy told TellyBuzz, "I have a holiday from my shoot today but I am doing rehearsals for an upcoming event. Last night I was called at one of my friend's place where all my co-stars had gathered to give me a surprise. My co-actress Ishita had prepared a cake for me by her own. We cut the cake and then had a nice get together. Today morning I started my day by going to temple to take God's blessings. Then, I am on work now."

Rahul is celebrating his birthday away from the family and he is missing them. He told us, "I always wish to share my happiness and celebrate every big or small moment with my family but it hardly happens. They all called me and wished me on phone." Recalling his childhood days, he added, "During our childhood days, we used to have lots of fun on our birthdays but now things have changed as we have to work on our birthday. I miss those days and I wish to get back to my childhood days."

When asked Rahul as what kind of special gifts he has got today, he told us, "Ishita gifted me a cake which she had made on her own. I complimented Ishita that the cake prepared by her is very nice and no one has ever prepared a cake for me so far. I have also got lots of perfumes as my birthday gift."
