Actor Ishita Dutta made an instant mark playing the role of Ajar Devgn's on-screen daughter in Drishyam several years ago. But ever since that, the actor has matured and grown into an array of roles where, somehow she continues to be considered for roles that carry a 'good girl' image.
In an attempt to change that, Dutta is doing photoshoots and looks where he bold avatar comes out as she has been willing to change the aforementioned notion professionally. Talking about it with ETimes TV, she said, “I am the way I am and I have an image of a good girl. Now is the time when things should change professionally. To ensure that I am doing photo shoots in which a serious and bold Ishita comes out. Audience and people in the industry would view me in new light."
Talking about why she felt the need to change this image suddenly, she said, “This kind of happens. When someone starts doing certain kinds of roles, they tend to get similar roles and that has been happening with me too. Now I feel it is time that I break that. I want to do different and serious roles now. I am not just a girl next door and I can do different characters too. Since we didn’t get to work much in the last year, I had been working on myself and tried experimenting."
She concluded saying, “I think I should groom myself so that when the time comes I am all ready. I can focus on other things then. Also, social media is a place where one can express themselves freely so I posted pictures, to see how people react to them. I have gotten a positive response and I am really liking it."
On the work front, Dutta was last seen in Bepanah Pyaarr.
